THANKS TO THE VOLUNTEERS FROM THE WOODFORD SNOBUSTERS
Special thanks goes out to all the volunteers for the countless hours of work they put in this past week to clear the trails. The storms the week of Feb. 21st, to the 27th, dumped heavy wet snow on our trail system that caused SEVERE DAMAGE. Unofficial amounts of up to 6 to 7 feet of snow were reported in the higher elevations. Downed and hanging trees made it nearly impossible for the Groomers to go out. If it wasn't for all the volunteers, our trail system would probable be CLOSED!! They worked day and night to clear the trails of downed and hanging trees to get the trails open for the Groomers and to make it a safe ride for all. Groomer operators went out with the risk of getting stuck and reported the snow was over the tracks as they pushed on. Some of these guys worked round the clock from sun up to sun up the next day with no sleep. Next time you are out on the trails, be they ours or another club's trails, think about these guys and stop to lend a hand. Pick up a few sticks instead of asking how much longer the trail will be blocked. In closing I say again THANK YOU TO THE VOLUNTEERS!! YOU'RE DEDICATION AND EFFORTS WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!!
